The MATSOL Conference is the largest gathering of English Learner and Multilingual Learner educators in Massachusetts. It convenes classroom teachers, school leaders, instructional coaches, and higher education faculty to share expertise and best practices, in support of MATSOL’s mission to promote equity and excellence in the education of multilingual learners.

The Call for Proposals is open for the 2019 MATSOL Intensive English Programs & Community College Conference!

Join your MATSOL colleagues for our fall conference bringing together English language educators and administrators from private language schools, community colleges, and intensive English programs across Massachusetts.

  • Date: Saturday, November 9, 2019
  • Location: EC Boston English Language School

Call for Proposals

Proposals are due August 31, 2019. Submit your proposal at www.matsol.org/2019-iep-cc-conference.

  • Audience: English language educators and administrators from private language schools, Intensive English Programs (IEPs), and community colleges.
  • Topic strands: Continuing professional development; video & digital media; English for Specific Purposes; intercultural communication; speech, pronunciation & listening; writing/composition; teaching grammar; vocabulary & lexicon; reading & literacy; special needs; material creation/adaptation; test preparation.
